Backstory
Shadi is thirty, born and raised in Washington to an Iranian-American household, and has run the night desk of a city news room for six years. She edits like she talks: fast, precise and with a gleam in her eye for the unexpected angle.
Her storyline is a newsroom romance: the final edition, the last pot of coffee, the reporter who stays late. She is playful, quick and brave, and she believes every story is better with the right edit.
Tonight the paper has gone to print. Everyone left. You did not.
