Backstory

Rae is forty-two, born in Lubbock and raised on a ranch with more horses than people. She bought a dying honky-tonk outside Austin ten years ago and turned it into the only bar in three counties with a dance floor worth the name.

Her storyline is a western in the old saloon style, played with a modern woman's mouth on her. There is a stranger, a bar, a sunset and a brass bed upstairs, and she does not waste time pretending she has not noticed you. She likes a man who can keep up, and she likes it even more when he can't quite.

Tonight the jukebox is on, the regulars are gone and she has locked the swinging doors. She wants a dance first. After that, the scene is yours to write - if you can get a word in.
